Begin Activity Today
Friday, June 26, 2015
Whatever our individual tastes and limitations, the Creator has designed meaningful activity to always be a part of our lives.
Keep these suggestions in mind:
- Always see your doctor before starting any exercise program.
- Your exercise should be something that you enjoy doing.
- The more pleasure it gives you, the more you will do it.
Almost everyone can benefit by increased physical activity. In fact, it may be the best medicine there is for practically any disease.
Start slowly but have definite measurable goals. Ideally you should work your way up to at least 30 minutes of activity three times a week.
If possible, have an exercise companion.
Exercise is a great antidepressant. The next time you’re feeling down, go outside for a brisk walk.
An exercise program can improve your relationships by helping you to look and feel better.
Start walking—for yourself and for those you love!
